Regular Season Round 10: Rustavi - IBF 76-65

There was a minor upset when 38th ranked FrenchIBF (3-5) was defeated by 40th ranked Georgian Rustavi (6-2) 76-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Rustavi. IBF managed to win third quarter 21-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Rustavi won last quarter 18-9 . They also forced 24 IBF turnovers. Guard Gega Iashvili (190-2006) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Davit Vashakidze (186-2007) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Rustavi's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Wendemi Zonon responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Aly Diaby scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. Rustavi moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Nordvast. Loser IBF dropped to the twenty fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Audentes and Drive Ac. 2.
